AWITA Members Beth Greenacre and Madeleine Martin are excited to bring the work of Hannah Quinlan and Rosie Hastings and Shadi Al-Atallah together for the first time in an installation at JW Anderson’s flagship store in the centre of Soho. It is poignant to present the work of artists who explore the cultural and political practices of dress, display and bodily performance within the context of Soho (the centre of London's - white, macho - gay scene) and Jonathan Anderson (a designer who undermines gender binaries).
The presentation includes two new site specific paintings on unstretched canvas by Shadi Al-Atallah accompanied by two print editions made available for the duration of the exhibition. These signed, numbered and artist chop marked limited edition pigment prints are created from a collection of the artist's digital paintings they made during lockdown. Each print is in an edition of 25 with 5 artist proofs available.
