Cob is proud to announce Jack Davison’s debut moving image artwork launching Sunday 27 October 2024 in London.
Bringing to life the concept of a children’s alphabet book, A is for Ant is made in collaboration with production designer Shona Heath.
A is for Ant is a 10-minute film where each letter of the alphabet is represented by an animal - playfully characterised by both actors and live creatures and created in the inventive spirit of the Early modern avant-garde.
A is for Ant will screen on The Ant Bus - a van complete with LED screen walls customised by Shona Heath.
Following the London launch The Ant Bus will tour the UK during October half-term. Each screening will combine a live action, theatrical presentation to be enjoyed, for free, by children and adults alike at all its UK tour destinations.
Following the screening and performance, children will be encouraged to respond to the A is For Ant experience with an illustration workshop by artist Hattie Staniforth alongside art materials generously supplied by Caran d’Ache.
The A is for Ant project is accompanied by Jack Davison’s new A-Z publication in collaboration with Matt Willey.
